ADMISSION NOTICE 2023-24

FIRST YEAR M. PHARMACY

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates, for admission to the First Year Post Graduate Course of Pharmacy (M. Pharmacy), under Institutional Quota and probable vacant seats after CAP rounds. The eligibility criteria is as per Regulation of Admission and Fees Act, 2015 (Mah. xxviii of 2015) of Government of Maharashtra for admissions to First Year of Two Year Full time Post Graduation Course in Pharmacy for the academic year 2023-2024.

The Schedule for admission procedure is as follows:

  1. Submission of duly filled prescribed admission form along with Xerox copies of all necessary documents, upto 00 noon, Sunday, 24th September, 2023
  2. Display of merit list: 00 pm, Monday, 25th September, 2023
  3. Admission Round: 00 am, 26th September, 2023

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure on the basis of Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) score conducted by All India Council for Technical Education, New Dehli. The centralized admissions are done by Government of Maharashtra, Department of Higher and Technical Education, Mumbai as per Regulation of Admission and Fees Act 2015 having website www.cetcell.mahacet.org. Out of total admissions, about 80% admissions are done through Centralized Admission Procedure run by Government of Maharashtra, Department of Higher and Technical Education, Mumbai on the basis of GPAT score. The Centralized Admission Procedure consists of three rounds of admission.

Allotment in CAP Round-I, II and III of Home University Seats /Other than Home University seats/ State Level seats will be carried out as per inter se merit of candidates having Maharashtra State Candidature. Seats will be allotted to candidates as per inter se merit, options filled and seats available at that point of time in the stage of CAP Round-I,  II and III.

All reserved category candidates (including SBC in their original category) shall be considered for allotment in all stages.

Remaining 20% admissions are done by the Management at the Institute level on the basis of GPAT score.

 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(1) For Maharashtra Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates:

(i) The candidate should be a citizen of India;

(ii) The candidate should have passed Bachelor’s in Pharmacy Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of 4 years of B. Pharm.) (at least 50% marks in case of Reserved category, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability Candidates belonging to the Maharashtra State only);

(iii) Obtained non zero positive score in Graduates Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) conducted by National Testing Agency;

(iv)  For sponsored candidates, minimum of two years of fulltime work experience in a registered firm or company or industry or educational or research institute or any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field in which admission is being sought.

(2) Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National Candidature Candidates:

(i) The candidate should have passed Bachelor’s in Pharmacy Degree of an Indian university established by law in India and from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55% of the maximum marks (aggregate of four years of B. Pharm.) or approved by Association of Indian Universities (AIU);

(ii) Any other eligibility criteria or requirement declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act. the Act.
