Testing Services at AISSMS College of Pharmacy
AISSMS College of pharmacy offers a well-equipped pilot plant and variety of equipment and instruments which are useful for manufacture and testing of pharmaceuticals.
In addition to this we have faculty with expertise in their research domains. This includes but is not limited to formulation development, nanotechnology, stability studies, evaluation, preclinical studies, toxicology, molecular modelling, microbiological testing.
The major instruments include particle size analyzer, Texture analyser (mucoadhesion, spreadability and tensile strength test), rotary tablet machine, viscometer, spray dryer, High pressure homogenizer, HPLC, HPTLC, I R spectrophotometer, semisolid filling and sealing equipment, differential scanning calorimeter, aseptic area, molecular modelling software, 3 D printer.
We have fully equipped CCSEA approved animal house with various instruments to perform screening like neurological, metabolic disorder, toxicology, reproductive and BA /BE studies in animals and neutraceutical testing are also done.
Services that can be offered:
- Formulation development :-
Small scale manufacturing trials of tablets (includes coating), capsules, semisolids, liquids. Taste masking, mouth dissolving drug delivery system, mucoadhesive formulations, transdermal drug delivery system, and nanoparticles based drug delivery system etc. - Cosmetics, sustained release drug delivery system :-
Testing activities: DSC thermogram, spreadability and mucoadhesion by texture analysis, viscosity measurements - Development and validation of analytical & bioanalytical methods, stability indicating assay methods etc. HPTLC methods for phytochemicals, Chemometric analysis of data, Extraction, herbal formulations, physical evaluation of crude drug, ash, extraction, LOD.
- Toxicity, biodistribution, preclinical evaluation of pharmacodynamic activities such as analgesic inflammatory, CNS, CVS, antioxidant, osteoporosis, nutrition, diabetes, obesity, wound healing etc.
- Design of new chemical entities, ADMET predictions, QSAR, docking, toxicity prediction, anti-inflammatory activity etc
