CENTRAL LIBRARY FACILITY

The Library is often regarded as the heart of an academic institution, serving as a vital centre for knowledge, learning, and intellectual growth. To provide efficient and comprehensive information services to its users, AISSMS College of Pharmacy established its own library in 1996 to cater to the academic and research needs of both students and faculty members.

The Library is located on the third floor of the institute building and is designed to offer a conducive learning environment. It comprises various well-defined sections, including:

  • Book Circulation Section
  • Reading Section
  • Reference Section
  • Journal Section
  • E-Library Section
  • Books For Competitive Examinations Section
  • Book Bank Section
  • Thesis Section

All books are systematically organized subject-wise and placed in properly labelled cupboards. Each book is assigned a unique accession number for easy identification and record maintenance. Reference books and issue–return books are stored separately to ensure proper access and circulation.

The Journal Section displays the latest volumes and issues of subscribed journals for current reference. Older volumes and issues are hard bound annually, labelled systematically, and recorded in a separate register for tracking, issue, and return purposes.

The library is well stocked with books, titles, national and international journals, and also provides access to electronic resources such as Elsevier–Science Direct, INFLIBNET N-LIST and DELNET: Developing Library Network for the use of students and faculty.

In addition, the library is an institutional member of Jayakar Library (Savitribai Phule Pune University), Pune, thereby broadening the scope of reference and research facilities available to users.

To enhance academic support, the library also provides a Book Bank facility and reprographic services to all users. Through its comprehensive collection and dedicated services, the AISSMS College of Pharmacy Library continues to promote lifelong learning, research excellence, and academic enrichment among its users.
