Is Technosocial boon or curse?
Since I am not very familiar with this word, I will first consider its literal meaning. Techno-social consists of two words techno which is an abbreviation for technology and social. All of us already know how much our society is developing in the sectors of computers and technology. Our daily life has become completely dependent on technology. How we as a member of society deal with each other and with technology plays a very vital role. Technology can be beneficial as well as harmful to mankind. It depends on how one uses it.
Being too social while using technology can lead to dangerous incidents. Exposure to personal data like CVV no or password can land us in trouble. Therefore, we should not share such details on the internet. We should also make sure that our social media apps are strongly protected to avoid hackers stealing our information. We should also be aware of what type of permission you are giving to the application. There have been many incidents of cyber crimes and hacking due to advanced technology.
Technology is very beneficial in bringing the world closer if used cleverly. Even though we were hit by the pandemic, it didn’t impact studies. In fact, the teacher was able to conduct online classes. Also, social media apps have given us a platform to earn money by sitting at home. We can always stay connected with our friends and families while being in different parts of the world by video calling or texting them using different social media apps. We can also use technology to gain knowledge or get influenced by other people’s thoughts and experiences that they share over the internet.
Therefore, it’s our responsibility to use technology wisely that would help us in our day-to-day life without incurring personal data loss.
