Library Services

The college library serves as a vital resource centre supporting teaching, learning, and research in pharmaceutical sciences. It offers a wide range of academic and digital services designed to meet the needs of students, faculty, and researchers.

  1. Computerized Library System

The library is fully automated with library autolib management software that enables online catalogue search (OPAC) by title, author, or subject. Issue–return transactions and cataloguing are efficiently managed digitally.

  1. Reference and Information Service

Provides access to reference books, encyclopaedias, pharmacopoeias, handbooks, and dictionaries for in-library use. Staff assist users in locating information and using library resources effectively.

  1. Circulation (Borrowing) Service

Students and faculty can borrow textbooks, journals, and other materials for a specified period. Renewal.

  1. Digital Library and E-Resources

Access to e-books, e-journals, and databases such as:

  • Elsevier ScienceDirect (Pharmacy Collection)
  • N-LIST (INFLIBNET)
  • DELNET (Developing Library Network)
  • Jayakar Library (SPPU)
    All digital resources can be accessed through the Digital Library Portal for study and research.
  1. Reprographic and Printing Service

Photocopying and printing facilities are available at nominal charges for academic purposes.

  1. Newspaper Clipping Service

Important articles, news, and announcements related to pharmacy, healthcare, education, and institutional achievements are regularly collected and displayed for user reference.

  1. Institutional Memberships

The library is a member of Jayakar Library (SPPU) and information networks to broaden access to learning materials and research content.

  1. Current Awareness Service (CAS)

Regular updates on new arrivals, journals, and e-resources are displayed on the notice board and library portal to keep users informed.

  1. Inter Library Loan (ILL) Service

Through DELNET Development Library Network and partner institutions, users can borrow or request materials not available in the college library.

  1. User Orientation and Information Literacy Programs

Orientation sessions are organized for newly admitted students to familiarize them with library resources, e-databases, and online access tools.

  1. ID Card Printing Service

The Library issues Identity Cards to all students, PhD students, and staff of the college. The ID card serves as an official document for availing library facilities.
