To conserve the environment and to make it healthier, AISSMS College of Pharmacy promoted out of the campus tree plantation activity on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June 2023. The session began with the faculty members & students gathering at the ground floor of the College. We had with us our respected principal madam Dr. Ashwini Madgulkar ,who actively took part in the event. Azadirachta indica (Neem) plants, which do not need much water on a daily basis, were purchased from swastika floral nursery. These plants were distributed amongst ecorangers, teaching staff as well as non teaching staff with the hands of principal madam. Trees were then planted in their locality individually. The main aim of this activity was that, contribution towards mother earth should start from home itself. After plantation everyone took oath of taking care of these plants on regular basis. All the ecorangers were very enthusiastic and thoroughly enjoyed the planting because it feels great to do positive for nature. Tree planting event connected the students to the benefits of trees and fostered environmental sensitivity in them. It also brought them closer to the environment.
