On account of world diabetes day extension cell had organized:
i.Random blood Sugar checking
ii.Survey on Diabetes awareness, medicines used and Counseling
The above activity was carried out in slum area and street vendors near Naidu Hospital during noon time by volunteers and staff of extension cell committee.
Outcome/Usefulness:
i.Students handled the Glucometer and could do easily random blood sugar check up of many people as a social responsibility as budding pharmacists.
ii.They could interact with community and could explain about diabetes and medications as well as importance of blood sugar check up at frequent intervals especially for Diabetic patients.
