AISSMS College of Pharmacy Clinches National Pharmacy Week Championship for the 6th Consecutive Time

AISSMS College of Pharmacy- Shivajinagar Pune, has once again emerged victorious, claiming the prestigious title at the National Pharmacy Week Competitions for an unprecedented sixth consecutive year. The award ceremony, held on the 11th of February at the esteemed D.Y. Patil College of Pharmacy, marked yet another milestone in the college’s illustrious journey of excellence in pharmaceutical education.
The event, which witnessed participation from eminent pharmacy colleges across the district, showcased the exceptional talent and dedication of students from AISSMS College of Pharmacy. The B Pharmacy and M Pharmacy students exhibited their prowess in a multitude of competitions, leaving an indelible mark in various categories.
Among the accolades clinched by the spirited students were victories in competitions such as Patient Counselling, Poster Presentation, Interview Skills, General Aptitude, Elocution, and Group Discussion. Their outstanding performance underscored not only their academic acumen but also their ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios with finesse and professionalism.
Speaking on the remarkable achievement, Dr. Ashwini R. Madgulkar, Principal of AISSMS College of Pharmacy, expressed immense pride in the students’ accomplishments. 57th National pharmacy week 2018 was conducted by IPA, Pune branch from 25th September to 1st October 2018 based on the Theme: ” Pharmacists: Your Medicines Experts “. All the 20 plus colleges in and around Pune from D.Pharm, B.Pharm and M.Pharm categories participated in NPW celebration. Events were organised in various pharmacy colleges across Pune during this period. Various Competitions were organised namely, Essay, Debate, Pharma mad ad, Interview skills, Group discussion, Quiz, Paper presentation, Patient counselling, Drawing, Elocution, Poster presentation, Extempore, WhatsApp Best Quote, General aptitude and Pharma detailing. AISSMS college of Pharmacy organised Essay competition where 09 D.Pharm , 25 B.Pharm and 11 M.Pharm colleges participated in the event. All the participating colleges performed well in the above competitions.

Highlights Of the event
The Indian Pharmaceutical Association has been celebrating the National Pharmacy Week every year. The major focus of NPW celebrations is to create awareness amongst the public, other health care providers and the authorities, about the NPW theme in particular and about the pharmacy profession and the role of pharmacist in general.
AISSMS College of Pharmacy participated in the National Pharmacy week (NPW) 2023 from 20th September 2023 to 26th September, 2023. Pharmacy students actively participated in different events like poster-making competitions, Pharma quiz competitions etc. Students displayed creative ideas in poster-making competitions and demonstrated their scientific enthusiasm in quiz competitions as well. Faculty members also joined the event and made the event more interesting and informative by sharing valuable suggestions with the students.

. Aissms College of Pharmacy Actively Participated in all the mentioned competitions. Students were screened and Guided well by their respective faculty guides.
. The students with extreme enthusiasm participated in the competition and were able to manage to win in various competitions.
. Students of Our college were successful in winning the overall championship of the event.
. The college won the competitions like Interview Skills & Group Discussions, And were runner ups in Ideathon Patient Counselling , Quiz , Debate, Poster Presentation, Oral Paper Presentation competitions.
. The Interview Skills Competition was Organised by Aissms College of Pharmacy on the 17th of Feb 2023 in coordination with the IPA Pune Branch.
. The overall coordination of the competition was headed by Dr. Shashikant Bhandari and Mr. Jitendra Gajbe and Student Coordinators Mr. Rajas Sheth, Ms. Ishwari Sapkal and Ms. Sweta Singh
